Notes: Local communities in 23 counties across Ohio have elections today. As the Plain Dealer points out, today’s levies are the last levies that will feature a property tax ‘rollback’. The rollback had the state pay 12.5% of the levy. In the final week of the budget debate, the Ohio legislature decided to eliminate the rollback on new money levies starting in November. This change is part of an ongoing trend of the state backing away from their commitments to help local communities fund public services in our communities.
