House Enters Final Stretch

The Ohio House Finance Committee began work on the Ohio budget in February. Since then, dozens of hearings have been held in sub-committees. The House Ways & Means Committee held nine hearings on various tax components of the proposal. One Ohio Now testified on March 22nd encouraging the legislator to consider new revenue options to improve our schools, invest in infrastructure, and create thriving communities.

The House will be in recess the weeks of April 10th and April 17th for the Passover and Easter Holidays. The House Finance Committee will resume the week of the 24th and will likely announce their version of the Ohio budget during that week.
